NIFFR Web Log Launched

The blog of the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research (NIFFR) was launched today. The site will provide constant and regular updates on the research and extension activities of the Institute.

  2. We went on limnology study to two dams in borgu local government in December 2016.They are:1.Swashi dam
    2.kuble dam
    New bussa, Niger state, Nigeria.
    The study cover the following area:
    I.morphology of the dam.
    ii.Algae ecology.
    iii.zooplankton ecology,
    iv.physical and chemical characteric.
    v.benthic ecology.
    vi.sedimentology.
    Vii.productivity and potential fish yield.
    Viii.dynamisms, distribution and diversity of the dams.
    Those are the area we normally cover in study of lake, for collaboration with the institute(NIFFR).
