In consonance with its mandate, the Institute has established the following Technical Departments and Programs/Units listed as follows:

1.    Research Operations  – Biotechnology & Aquaculture, Nutrition & Health, Products Development, Natural Resources Management, Extension & Farming Systems

2.    Research Outreach – Extension Services, Value Addition, Commercialization, Consultancy, Human Resources Development and AROC Centers Development

3.    Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation – Planning & Statistics, Budgeting, monitoring & Evaluation, and Annual Reports

4. Research Support Services – Central services Laboratory, Farm/Production Management, Biotechnology and Fish Seed Production

5.    Products & Fisheries Engineering – Fabrication, Fisheries Engineering Designs, Processing & Packaging
