Welcome to the 27th Annual Conference in Yenagoa
27TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN BAYELSA
The theme for the 27th Annual General Meeting Bayelsa is ‘THE ROLE OF FISHERIES IN THE NATIONAL AGRICULTURE TRANSFORMATION AGENDA’ with various sub-themes thoughtfully carved out around Aquaculture Transformation Agenda of the Agriculture Transformation Agenda. An array of disciplines contributing to the brainstorming sessions (technical sessions) for the advancement of our fisheries has been designed. In Bayelsa FISON will again have the opportunity to lead the way in a changing world by advancing the principles of sound science while promoting professional development, and disseminating science based information.
We received inquiries about whether Yenagoa will be dry enough to host the conference. These were genuine concerns considering the recent flooding in our nation. We are pleased to announce that Yenagoa is nice and dry. FISON members and Conference delegates have been arriving for the conference since the weekend. Remember that it is a family re-union of all Fisheries people.
We say kudos to the program committees and the Local Organising Committee who set up local arrangements for the 27th Annual Conference in Yenagoa Bayelsa State. All is set and we look forward to receiving you all at the conference.
We wish all conference participants and delegates journey mercies to Bayelsa The Glory of All lands.
